Welcome! Whether you've just moved to the area, or have lived here all your life, we hope our website helps you to find out everything you want to know about our Church.

Here are the answers to some questions that you may be asking:

WHERE AND WHEN DO WE MEET?

The Imperial, on the corner of Pennington Road

The Imperial, on the corner of Pennington Road

Our parish church of St Thomas's is in Pennington Road, Southborough, which is the turning by The Imperial pub. The church is on the left after the car park for Pennington Grounds.

Our main Sunday service is at 10.30 am. Most weeks this is a Eucharist (Holy Communion) Service with hymns and some parts of the service sung.

Approximately once a month, instead of the Communion Service we have an All Age Family Service which is shorter, less formal,  with lots of opportunities for participation.

WhAT SHOULD I EXPECT IF I VISIT?

You will receive a very warm welcome particularly from our Welcome Team who will be able to answer your questions and give you any help or information you may need. We have a printed service sheet that contains all the service words and hymns, which should be easy to follow. You can join in as little or as much as you would like.

A Communion Service usually last about 1 hour 15 minutes, and a Family Service about 45 minutes.
Tea, coffee and biscuits are served after the 10.30 service.

WHAT HAPPENS TO THE CHILDREN?

Selling cakes for Christian Aid

An Ark Group meets for children over the age of 3 during the first part of the Communion Service, in term time.  New children are always welcome and activities take account of the variation in ages.

There is no Ark Group on Family Service Sundays, but plenty for the children to join in with during the service.

There is also a children's corner in church, with books, toys and colouring  available.

We have a welcome pack available at the back of church, full of leaflets with information.     Why not visit and pick up a copy?
